How to use this tool
- Choose a static WebP file.
- Set JPG quality and a background color.
- Check the preview and download your JPG.
Understand the result
Changing a filename from .webp to .jpg does not convert the image. A converter decodes the WebP pixels and writes a new JPEG file. The resulting file size depends on the image and the selected quality.
Try a sample
Try a sample with the tool above, then inspect the output before using your own files.
WebP ↓If the result is not what you expected
The JPG is larger than the WebP.
File formats store detail differently. Lower the JPG quality only if the result stays readable. If the destination accepts the original WebP, converting may not be necessary. Animated WebP is unsupported.
Next useful tool: Image Compressor →Important limits
- Animation is not supported.
- JPG output may be larger than the WebP source.
Frequently asked questions
Can I keep transparency?
JPG does not support transparency. Transparent areas are filled with the selected background color.
Can I convert an animated WebP?
This version supports static WebP images only. Use an animation-capable converter when you need to preserve moving frames.
