Understand the result
A visible watermark is a mark on the page. It can communicate a draft status or ownership claim, but it does not encrypt a file or prevent someone from editing or removing content.
Mark a document as a draft
Use a readable label with enough transparency to keep the document useful. Preview pages with different orientations or sizes before exporting.
Try a sample
Try an original sample to inspect the supported workflow. A successful sample is not a guarantee for every input.

The watermark does not prevent copying.
A visible mark communicates context; it is not access control or redaction. Review opacity and placement so important text remains readable. Do not use a watermark to hide confidential content.

Frequently asked questions
Will the original PDF be replaced?
The tool generates a new download. Keep the original file separately.
Is a watermark a security feature?
It is a visible label, not encryption, a digital signature or a reliable way to prevent copying.
Can adding a watermark affect a signature?
Modifying a signed document can invalidate its digital signature. Keep the signed original and check the requirements before editing.
