How to use this tool

  1. Paste your text and choose its language.
  2. Select an available case-conversion option.
  3. Review names and abbreviations, then copy the result.

Understand the result

Uppercase and lowercase conversions depend on language rules. The English word-initial title option capitalizes each word; it does not enforce a specific publishing style. Review short words, names and acronyms before using a heading. Title conversion is unavailable for unsupported text languages.

How do I change capital letters to lowercase?

Paste the text, select its language and choose lowercase. Generate the result, review names and abbreviations, then copy it. For Turkish, the selected language matters: I becomes dotless ı, while İ becomes i. Changing the source or conversion setting clears the old result, so generate again before copying.

Is title case suitable for names, brands and abbreviations?

The English word-initial option capitalizes words mechanically. It is not an editorial style guide: NASA can become Nasa, and brand names may need manual correction. The English sentence option also needs review after initials and abbreviations. Use Text Compare to inspect edits before replacing your original.

If the result is not what you expected

Names or acronyms look wrong.

Review personal names, brands and abbreviations after conversion. Title case is a mechanical transformation, not an editorial style guide. Compare the result with the original before replacing it.

Important limits

  • Title case and sentence detection are not grammar correction.
  • Languages without letter case cannot use uppercase and lowercase conversion.

Frequently asked questions

Will it preserve proper names and acronyms?

Automated case changes can alter them. Review names, brand spellings and abbreviations before using the result.

Why does Turkish text need a language choice?

Turkish has distinct dotted and dotless I case mappings. Locale-aware conversion helps apply the appropriate character rules.
